Then walk in driveway toward the rear of the dwelling where the cemetery can be seen approximately 50 yards behind the dwelling.The cemetery is fenced, and there is some honeysuckle and small brush in the burial area. Mr. Glenwood C. Berry, who resides on Road 680 very near to the Marshall cemetery maintains the cemetery, which is used by Blacks. This cemetery was examined, and the tombstone inscriptions transcribed on 11 April 1988, by Jeanette Conner Ritenour HC 60, Box 1081, Seven Fountains, Va. 22652, and Mazie Cullers, HG 60, Box 1090, Seven Fountains, Virginia, 22652. Mr. Glenwood C. Berry accompanied the compilers and provided family relationship data. Mrs. Wheeler Elizabeth Good, 94, of Luray, died Thesday, 20 Apr 1965, at 7:10 p.m., at the home of her grandson, James Berry. Mrs. Good had been in ill health for the past several years. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, 23 Apr 1965, from the Blainsville Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Headin officiating. Internment will be in the Marshall Cemetery. She was born 2 Apr 1871, in Luray, Va. She was a daughter of the late John and Hannah Marshall Spencer. She was a member of the Blainsville, Va. Baptist Church. Her husband Jefferson Good, preceded her in death. She is survived by five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren. Wheeler Elizabeth Spencer was married three times as follows: (1) James Lee, age 21, single, born in Rappahannock Co. Va., residing in Page Co. Va., and the son/of Samuel and Martha Lee. He married E. W. Spencer, age 17, single, born and residing in Page Co. Va. and the dau/of John and Hannah Spencer. They were married on 3 Nov 1889 in Page Co. Va. Clergy was J. W. Jenkins (2) William G. Bundy, married to Wheeler Elizabeth Lee on 19 Mar 1906, clergy P. W. Strickler in Page Co. Va. The groom was 40, single, born & raised in Page Co. Va.. His father is not named. His mother 1isted as Barbara A. Knight. The bride was Wheeler Elizabeth Lee, 35, widow, born and raised in Page Co. Va., and the dau of J. W. & Hannah Spencer (3) Jefferson Good married to Lizzie Bundy on 30 March 1918, clergy P. W. Strickler. The groom, Jefferson Good was 52, a widower born & raised in Page Co. Knowles dies—Mrs. Leatha Martha Knowles, 69, wife of Wilson Knowles, of the Blainesvilie Va. rent ski equipment . Community died at 7:15 p.m. Friday, ~30 Mar 1962 in the Page Memorial Hospital. Mrs Knowles, who had been ill for several years, had been a patient in the hospital for five days. The funeral service was held Sunday afternoon. She was a daughter of the late James Lee and Elizabeth Spencer Good, she was horn at Luray, Va. on 2 April l892. She was a member of the Blainesville Baptist Church. Mrs. Knowles was twice married. Her first husband was Haywood Berry, and her second was Wilson Knowles, who survives. Five children, J. Austin Berry and Glynwood Berry of Luray, Va. Mrs. Irene Gupton and Mrs. Lista May Parler of New York City, and Mrs. Lucy Printz of Bridgeport, Connecticut, also survive her as do eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Last rites were conducted by the Rev. Carl Headen at four o’clock Sunday afternoon, April 1st in the Blainesville Church. Interment was in the Marshall Cemetery.
