The Following Is A News Paper Article Of The Daughters of John And Mary C. Bright:TWO DIE IN A WEEKYoung Bright Girls Stricken With Tuberculosis Pass Away. The family of John Bright, who lives four miles south of this city,is sorely stricken. Two of their daughters, Mahalia, age 15,and Elsie, aged 13, have died in the past week. Mahala, the eldest, died at her father’s home yesterday, one week ago, and Tuesday of this week Elsie died at Pertle Springs at 10:30 a.m. After the death of his first daughter, Mr. Bright moved Miss Elsie to a cottage at the Spring’s, hoping to beneft her, but the disease had done its work, and the other young life was ushered into eternity. Mr.Bright’s is indeed an afflicted family. Miss Elsie is the ninth child in the past few years that has died of consumption. The community extend their sympathy to Mr. and Mrs. Bright in their hour of deep affliction and hope that the hand of providence which has been so heavily upon them of late will be lifted and their burden of sorrow be lightened by the sincere sympathy of their neighbors and friends. The funeral services of the young girl took place at 11 o’clock yesterday morning at the Green Cemetery, south of this city. This letter was in regard to the death of John R. Bright, oldest son of Jacob Strother Bright and Lucinda Derrer. John was the father of Wyatt and the brother of Cora Lee Bright Mason.
