He was born April 11, 1922 in McKeesport, PA, and was the son of the late David Calvin Jenkins, Sr. and Laura Anna Minor Jenkins. He was a retired construction laborer and member of Laborers Local #373, former usher at Bethlehem Baptist Church, and member of their Home Hospitality Committee. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Mary Magdalene “Maggie” Taylor Jenkins; children, Yvette M. Pettiford, David M. (Patricia) Jenkins and Lois J. (Eric) Leggett all of McKeesport, PA, Roy F. (Norine) Jenkins, Jr. of White Oak, PA, and Kevin L. (Jean) Jenkins of Ben Avon, PA; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9pm, Wednesday, July 7 at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, McKeesport, PA, where services will be held Thursday, July 8, 2004 at 11:00am with Rev. fort lauderdale lawyers . Earlene Coleman officiating.
