Fifth Ave., which was being improved, gave way several of the workmen were caught in the debris. The result of this accident was fatal to Mr. Edward Bellinger, of 406 Lynn Alley. He was found lying face downward when dug out by his fellow workmen. Mr. Bellinger is from Jones Island, S.C. Verizon FIOS Deals . His remains were shipped to his home on Wednesday, the 17th, for burial. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife; 4 sons and 4 daughters. John Carter, aged 40 years, of Brick Alley, had a miraculous escape.
