Charles JACKSON. Funeral services were held Sunday at Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church of Eckman, W. Va.Mrs. WADE was accompanied by her niece, Miss Lucille FRANKLIN and her cousin, Miss Ada MONTGOMERY. Enroute home, Miss MONTGOMERY visited her parents in Speedwell, Va. and Miss FRANKLIN remained in Pulaski, Va where she will spend a few weeks with her parents.Rev. Sony TVs . Josephine Howard WILLIAMS is a patient in the Presbyterian Hospital, where she will undergo an operation in a few days. Her condition at this time is favorable.Mr. Joseph HINES, Jr. was host at a delightful affair at Hotel Norvell, honoring Mr. Luther ROBINSON of McKeesport. Mr. ROBINSON recently entertained a number of the younger set at a buffet supper at Stonyhurst. Among the guests were Misses Louise and Mary GEARY, of Philadelphia, Robert SNOWDON of Rosemont, Griscom and Francis BATTLE of Gladwyne, Miss Anne FENNER and Mrs. RANDAL of Chestnut Hill.Mr. and Mrs. Bud MURRAY proprietors of the Lone Star Restaurant 103 Fullerton Street left the city Monday on a motor trip to Texas where they will spend several weeks. They will be the guests of their daughter in Houston and will visit relatives in other points of Texas. They will also attend the National Baptist Convention in HoustonDr. John EUBANKS and Dr. Leslie B. HOWELL, the latter a brother of Dr. Julius HOWELL of Blackadore street, were visitors with the HOWELLS here early this week.
