TAYLOR of Wheeling, W. Va. announce the marriage of their daughter Winifred WELCH TAYLOR to Charles Garfield NICKENS, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. public storage chicago . J. NICKENS of Morgan street on August 12, 1929.Unquestionably one of the most popular couples of the younger set Mr. and Mrs. NICKENS have found in the most active of school and social groups. NICKENS was pledged to Delta Sigma Theta sorority while matriculating at West Virginia State College where her gracious manner and lovable disposition won for her the esteem of both faculty and student body. Mr. NICKENS taught a year at Morris Brown University after his graduation from the University of Pittsburgh, before matriculating at Howard Medical School, where is he now a sophomore. Mr. NICKENS is also a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity and of the “What Good Are We” popular men’s club of Washington, D.C. The occasion of the announcement was a party at the home of Mrs. NICKENS’ parents last Tuesday night when the following guests were gathered to share the joyous re-enacting of that precious event of Frog Week three years ago.
